Due to the large presumed losses in transmission, the dependencies of capitulary manuscripts are difficult to present in the form of a stemma. However, in two cases with extensive transmission, namely texts from the two major legislative initiatives of Louis the Pious of 818/819 (BK 139) and 829 (BK 191), the distribution paths from the Aachen court can be traced quite well.
