Contrary to the usual identification of the compiler with the prominent west Frankish scholar Lupus Servatus (of Ferri\u00e8res), our colleague Britta Mischke has shown that the compiler was most likely working in Italy, and with Italian capitulary manuscripts (cf. <a title=\"to the title\" href=\"http:\/\/capitularia.uni-koeln.de\/resources\/biblio#Mischke_2024\">Mischke 2024<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, she has studied the other three witnesses of the collection (namely <a class=\"internal\" title=\"Manuscript page\" href=\"https:\/\/capitularia.uni-koeln.de\/mss\/modena-bc-o-i-2\/\">Modena, Archivio Capitolare, O. I. 2<\/a>; <a class=\"internal\" title=\"Manuscript page\" href=\"https:\/\/capitularia.uni-koeln.de\/mss\/gotha-flb-memb-i-84\/\">Gotha, Forschungsbibliothek, Memb. I 84<\/a>; <a class=\"internal\" title=\"Manuscript page\" href=\"https:\/\/capitularia.uni-koeln.de\/mss\/muenchen-bsb-lat-29555-1\/\">Munich, Bayerische Staatsbibliothek, Lat. 29555\/1<\/a>) in previous blog posts (<a href=\"https:\/\/capitularia.uni-koeln.de\/blog\/handschrift-des-monats-dezember-2017\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Modena<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/capitularia.uni-koeln.de\/blog\/handschrift-des-monats-dezember-2018\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Gotha<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/capitularia.uni-koeln.de\/blog\/handschrift-des-monats-august-2019\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Munich<\/a>). In the meantime we have added the last hitherto still missing capitularies to our transcriptions of the Gotha and Modena manuscripts.
